The WOTP is an international internship so the courses will be taught in English. Most teachers speak French and can translate. When the teachers cannot provide the translation themselves, do not hesitate to ask them nicely if someone in your group can translate.

There is a free car park with 800 spaces (Parking des Écureuils) just next to the Center Expo Congrès. The city of Mandelieu also offers a majority of car parks in the blue zone. Don't forget your parking disc.

For bicycles during the event, there is a guarded parking lot next to the guard post (on the right of the CEC).

These are additional courses dedicated to the different techniques necessary for the practice of WCS. On themes established in advance and by level, the teachers will be able to deepen and help you progress on your technique (examples: connection, musicality, fluidity, partnership, lead&follow, etc.). You can also buy them individually on site.Link to Festival description

Free Practice: In case of a pause between two classes during the afternoon, there will always be a free room to allow you to practice if you want.

Guided Practice: A dedicated room to practice. You will be able to use this space to rehearse the figures you learned during the Festival. A teacher will be there to play some music and to help you in case of difficulties. Be careful: it’s neither a group class nor a private lesson, you just need to ask the teacher nicely and he will find a way to give you the best advice to manage your problem

You must have an individual email address because you will be asked to confirm it during the creation of your account.

ONCE YOUR ORDER IS VALIDATED, YOU CANNOT MODIFY IT ANY MORE. IN CASE OF ERROR, CONTACT US BY EMAIL.
However, you can later add items from the shop or the technical option to your order.

If you do not compete officially in West Coast Swing, you do not have a WSDC (Word Swing Dance Council) number. Answer NO to the first question when creating your account.

At WOTP you register on 6 levels and with the auditions, we will divide the dancers into 9 groups of equivalent skills.

Auditions are mandatory :
- Saturday afternoon for the WEEK PASS and 3 First days PASS.
- Wednesday morning for the 3 Last days PASS.
Party passes (Week, 3FD and 3LD) do not need to participate in auditions.

Even though the WOTP is a social stage, for the auditions we have added a correspondence with the WSDC competition levels if you do. If you think you have a better level than your current WSDC level you can contact us.

NIVEAU 1

Complete beginner - If you are a real complete beginner who never tried before.

If you already took classes then you must register for Level 2.

NIVEAU 2

WSDC : Newcomer / Novice - You know the basics of West Coast Swing, but you still don't feel completely comfortable when dancing socially. In addition to improving your basics, you want to acquire the fundamentals and be able to dance with any partner.

NIVEAU 3

WSDC : Novice - Your basics are no longer a problem for you, you know the fundamentals of West Coast Swing, a few variations of steps, as well as several variations of figures. You are comfortable dancing socially regardless of the partner. Despite everything, you are still hesitant to dance to fast tempos, and sometimes experience some connection problems. You also want to improve your style.

NIVEAU 4

WSDC : Novice / Intermediate - Fast tempos no longer scare you. You can social dance with partners of different levels (beginner to advanced) without any problem. You are looking for your own style, as well as discovering musicality, dancing not only to the rhythm of the music, but to all its accents. You want to learn new variations, as well as new techniques.

NIVEAU 5

WSDC : Intermediate / Advance - West Coast Swing is your dance. You know how to dance to slow, medium or fast rhythms with the same ease. You use your footwork to play along to the music, and even start creating your own tricks. You are now looking to improve your style and refine your musicality.

NIVEAU 6

WSDC : Advance / All Star / Champion - West Coast Swing is your dance. You've developed your own style, and integrated your own footwork and tricks. You want to know or have an idea of the styles of the teachers, so as to further improve your own style, as well as to have new sources of inspiration.

Apart from the evening on the beach on Tuesday evening, this year there will be no evening tickets sold individually online or on site.

To join a party, you must have a Pass.

• If the levels are open you can register alone.

• If the level in which you want to register is closed for solo followers:

  • Join the waiting list and you will be given priority. As soon as leaders, couples or groups register, priority is given to followers on the waiting list. In order of registration, each follower in turn will receive a message to validate their registration. She will have 2 days to finalize her registration or the system passes the place to the next follower.

  • You can register on the same level and the same Pass with a leader. The leader needs to  register first by indicating your email address in the partner field then that you indicate his email address in the partner field. Please note that if you provide your own email address or an email address that does not exist or is invalid, your registration will be canceled.

  • If you find a partner who is not already registered when you are already registered on the waiting list, please contact us so that we can cancel your registration on the waiting list and you can re-register with this Leader. as a partner.

We maintain a fairly strict balance at WOTP.

Our automatic system blocks registrations for single followers until the balance returns.

As soon as leaders, couples or groups register, priority is given to followers on the waiting list.

In order of registration, each follower on the waiting list will receive a message to confirm her registration. She will have 2 days to finalize her registration or the system passes the place to the next follower. Once the waiting list is empty, the level is reopened directly on the registration form

On the Home page, in the NEWS or FESTIVAL areas, click on the "AVAILABILITY" button to see the status of each pass (Open, Closed, or Closed for single followers) .

If certain levels are closed for followers wishing to register alone, it should be understood that the Pass is not complete but that the follower must:

• Or register on the waiting list in order to have priority for registration

• Either find a leader to register with her in the same level

If the level is full, you will not be able to select it.

For registrations and to facilitate auditions, we have added a correspondence with the WSDC competition levels if you do (See Levels description on Festival Page). If you think you have a better level than your current WSDC level, you can contact us by email to have access to a higher level.

If you wish to register as a group in order to benefit from the group rate reduction, the group leader must:

• Form your group before registering

• Have the surname, first name, postal address, telephone and email of each member of his group which he must specify during his registration

• Each member of the group must create their account or confirm it by entering his WSDC number again before the group leader registers and declares the group. A group must respect the following rules:

• Group discount is only applicable if all members are on Week Pass

• A group must be made up of people from the same country

• A group must be composed of a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20 (group leader included)

• For each follower registered, there must be at least one leader registered in the same level but there may be several single leaders in addition

• The rate applicable to the group corresponds to the date of creation of the group

• The rate is only confirmed if all members of the group have paid for their registration (if a person in the group does not show up or cancels their registration, the group must replace them or the group rate will be canceled)

• After validation of the group leader's registration, each member of the group will receive an email confirming their registration to the group. He can then go to his profile and complete his registration. Members have 1 week maximum to confirm their group registrations

You can apply for registration as a volunteer (on the registration form).

If you are selected as a volunteer (about 3 weeks before the festival), you can benefit from a reduction of up to €70.

You must first pay the price applicable to your registration.

You will receive the conditions of application by email.

The reduction will only be effective at the end of the course if you have correctly carried out your tasks, which will be to help with the assembly of the parquet on Saturday July 5 in the morning and its dismantling on Saturday July 12 in the morning.

Your tasks take place before and after the festival so you won't miss anything from the festival or the parties.

Once the festival is over, you can print your invoice directly from your online account.

Auditions are mandatory for group classes:

• Saturday 5th afternoon at 3 p.m. for WEEKs and 3 First days PASS
• Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. for the 3 Last days PASS

If you miss the start of the auditions, you will have to wait until the next session to be evaluated. In the meantime, we will arbitrarily place you in a group.

Auditions are always a stressful time for some people but they are necessary so that everyone can have a great week.

We will explain to you during the Welcome meeting the process of the auditions.

The goal is to :

• Divide everyone present into 9 groups
• Limit and balance the number of people per group
• Distribute people evenly in terms of skills

The name and number of the group in which you will be placed not correspond to a level with regard to your experience in other festivals or in your school and may vary each year depending on the number of groups and the people present.

If after the first day of classes you wish to change groups, on Sunday evening during the party at 10:30 p.m. there will be a second audition "the Crying office" where you can be evaluated again.

You have access to a choice of accommodation via the Center Expo Congrès reservation center with negotiated rates for the event. Click on the book button on the Venue page.

Pay attention to the distances if you are on foot, check the Mandelieu map before booking!

We will do our best to ensure health security but it remains the personal responsibility of each of us to comply with the measures and regulations in force at the time of the event.

According to the regulations in force, wearing a mask is not compulsory. However, if it makes you feel safer, don't hesitate to wear one.

We would like to emphasize the extreme importance of frequent hand disinfection. As in previous years, we will have hand sanitizers available at the entrance to the ballroom. Please use them regularly.

If you notice one of them is out of fluid, please let us know so we can replace it.

I will not participate in the event if I am not feeling well!

If you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of Covid near the start of the event, we ask that you stay home and not participate in the event.

You will not be entitled to any refund but we will authorize you to sell your Pass to a person having the same role and the same level.

If you feel unwell during the event, or have symptoms of Covid,

Please contact us, avoid common areas and isolate yourself in your room with your roommate.

We will be happy to help you get further medical advice or attention if needed.

You do not have to pay anything until you have received your registration confirmation email. Remember to check your spam box if you don't receive anything.

If you register on the waiting list, you do not have to pay anything. Once a place is free and confirmation of your registration, you will also receive the confirmation email and you can proceed to payment.

Once the registration email has been received, you have 2 weeks to precede the payment or your registration will be canceled.

If you live abroad and/or on other continents and need to travel across an ocean, you are entitled to a discount which is applied directly during registration. Note: England, the Nordic countries or Israel are across a sea and not an ocean!

If you form a group, you benefit from a reduced rate. Question details How do I create a group?

If you have a license with the French Dance Federation (FFD), you can indicate your number during your registration. After receiving your payement and checking with the FFD the validity of your license for the current year, we will refund you 30€ during check-in. The discount cannot be combined with the group nor the Over The Ocean discounts.

If you are a volunteer, you benefit from a reduced rate. Details on the question Can I volunteer to help during the Festival?

If you cannot attend the event due to government COVID regulations, we will refund the full amount you have paid (excluding any bank/exchange charges), due to this "force majeure".

In all other cases, we will not refund any registration.

We authorize the transfer of Passes under certain conditions (see next paragraph)

We strongly advise you to take out insurance with an insurer such as Mondial assistance or your home insurer.

In any case and if you decide not to take out insurance, you will not be able to claim any reimbursement from us.

If you have to cancel or have part of your costs reimbursed, the steps will be taken directly with your insurer.

WARNING : NEVER BUY A PASS OR TICKET WITHOUT ASKING US FOR CONFIRMATION FIRST! SCAMMERS ARE TRYING TO SELL FAKE PASS ONLINE! People have been scammed in 2024 so be careful.

We can accept the transfer of a pass to another person but it will be done according to the following conditions:

• A Pass transfer can only be made for the same Pass, role (Leader or Follower) and level.
• The person buying the pass must create their account but not register.
• The initial owner of the Pass must confirm to us by email the name and email of the buyer.
• The financial transaction of the repurchase must be carried out directly between the seller and the buyer.
• An additional 10€ will be charged to the new owner for the repurchase of a pass.

Finding a replacement can only be done in an acceptable and non-abusive manner, otherwise we will refuse to accept the transfer of registration.

You can choose to pay:

• by check 

  • Payment available only for bank accounts in France.
  • Indicate behind the check the name(s) of the participants in the Festival for this payment. (the order and the address will be in the confirmation email)
  • Payments must be made only in Euros.
  • Normally, no fees except possible fees from your bank for a payment by check.

• by bank transfer 

  • Payments must be made only in Euros.
  • Please absolutely indicate in the subject of the transfer: 'WOTP2025' and the name(s) of the participant(s) in the Festival for this payment. (the order and the IBAN will be in the confirmation email).
  • Subject to your bank's fees for a bank transfer, and exchange fees if outside the Euro zone. 

• by PayPal

  • Payments must be made only in Euros.
  • Attention, by paying by PayPal, you may have to pay between 2.5% and 4% more for commission costs and possible exchange costs. (the payment link will be in the confirmation email). Please absolutely indicate in the subject of the transfer: 'WOTP2025' and the name(s) of the participant(s) in the Festival for this payment.

• by Credit Card 

  • We use a system dedicated to associations. (via Payasso - the payment link will be in the confirmation email)
  • Payments must be made only in Euros.

By registering for WOTP, you agree to the following terms:

• to assign my image rights (non-profit and/or commercial) to the Legaswing association and its service providers for the festival,
• to become a member of the Legaswing association for the 3rd quarter of the current year. Contribution of 5€ included in the registration.
• non-refund in the event of your cancellation.
• I am informed that the Legaswing association keeps the personal data contained in this form for internal processing only. The data is kept for two years and I can, on simple request by email (legaswing@gmail.com), access this data, rectify it, request its deletion or exercise a right to limit the processing of this data.
